Privacy Policy — Curb Presence

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Who we are

Curb Presence is a Google Business Profile management and local-website service operated by Jeremiah Benfer, doing business as Curb Presence (a sole proprietorship), Raleigh, North Carolina. This policy covers curbpresence.com, the services described on it, and Plainspoken (plainspoken.curbpresence.com), a writing tool we also operate.

Contact for anything in this policy: jeremiah@curbpresence.com · (919) 675-1233 · 3064 Wake Forest Rd #1217, Raleigh, NC 27609.

What we collect, and why

1. If you ask for an audit or contact us

Your business name, your name, email address and/or phone number, and what you told us. Used to prepare your audit, reply to you, and — if you become a client — run your service. We do not buy contact lists for this inbox and we do not sell yours.

2. If you become a management or rescue client — access to your Google Business Profile

The service works by you adding Curb Presence as a manager on your Google Business Profile, using Google's own access controls. There is no other route in: we do not access your profile through Google APIs, and we never receive your Google password — you should never send it to us.

As a manager we can do the work described on our “Exactly what you get” page: read your profile and reviews, publish replies and posts, and update profile details (hours, categories, services, photos, attributes). That is all the access is used for.

3. Payments

Payments are taken by Stripe, our only payment processor. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us; we never see or store full card details. We receive your name, email, the amount, and a payment status, which we keep as our sales record.

4. Plainspoken — text you paste

When you use the Plainspoken demo or tool, you paste or type text so it can be scored and rewritten.

Scoring runs in your browser (or on our server — same arithmetic, no model, and nothing stored). Rewrites are processed on our servers using Cloudflare Workers AI, falling back to NVIDIA NIM; your text is sent to those providers to produce the rewrite and is not stored by us. We keep only anonymous run statistics (word count, scores, model used, timing) and a daily-rotating hashed identifier used solely to enforce the free limit of 10 rewrites per day — the hash changes every day and is never linked to the content of your drafts. We retain aggregate run statistics indefinitely; they contain no text and no identity. We never use your text to train models or to fit anyone else's voice profile.

If you fit a voice profile, we store only the numerical statistics of your samples — never the samples themselves — and we keep those statistics until you ask us to delete them. If you join the Plainspoken waitlist, we keep the email address and use-case note you gave us, for that purpose.

5. This website

This site does not run analytics or advertising cookies or scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (pages requested, times, network addresses) as part of running the site; we use log information only to keep the site working and investigate errors.

Who we share data with

Only the processors needed to run what you asked for: Stripe (payments), Google (the platform your Business Profile lives on), Cloudflare (hosting), Brevo (email), and — for Plainspoken — Cloudflare Workers AI and NVIDIA NIM (the model providers that generate rewrites). Each receives only what its job requires. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We will disclose data if the law requires it (court order, subpoena) and will tell you unless prohibited.

How long we keep it

Client records (audits, change notes, correspondence, payment records): while you are a client, and for 3 years after the work ends, for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. Audit requests that never became clients: 12 months. Plainspoken statistics: as described in section 4. Website logs: as stated in section 5. Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you.

Your rights (everyone, not just where the law lists them)

Email jeremiah@curbpresence.com and ask. We will confirm what we hold, correct it, export it, or delete it (except records the law requires us to keep, e.g. payment/tax records), within 30 days. No fee, no form, no retention script.

Security, honestly

Access to client profiles is limited to the operator. Data moves over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you directly. We do not store your Google password or your card number anywhere — there is nothing of that kind here to steal.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and, for active clients, we will email you before the new version takes effect.
